Bloggers publish content to share their blogging tips, to tell their story about their own blogging journey, or introduce a new blogging tool to their audience.
They log in the hours and days to come up with content that will grab their reader’s attention and hopefully help them solve a problem or give ‘em a solution to an issue they might be having.
But there is no sense in writing a great blog post if no one is going to read it, right?
Here’s a question for you…when you publish a blog post, where in the world wide web are you promoting it?
Disclosure: This post contains an affiliate link to Tailwind for sharing your blog posts. If you decide to join Tailwind, I will receive a small commish at no cost to you.
I bet you have read tons of posts about the best places sharing your blog post. And I will bet that social media, Facebook groups and newsletters round the top 5.
But there are other places to share your blog posts. Besides sharing your blog post on social media and other usual places, I’ve got ten places that might not have crossed your mind.
Check out these other places to promote your latest blog post:
AllTop collects blog posts from big and small website’s RSS feeds in a large variety of topics and curates them into their ever-running feed. Plain and simple.
You have to have quality-relevant content to be considered but you can also reach out them to reconsider your content and add your posts to their feed.
I’m not talking about newsletters. What I’m talking about is placing a link in your email signature. That way, when you send and reply to emails throughout the day, the recipient will see your link.
If you don’t have an email signature set up, check out the email generator tools Email Signatures to create one for free.
I love Flipboard. I stay up late at night flipping through the hundreds of articles in just about every topic.
To share your blog posts on Flipboard, create a free account then in your profile, create a magazine and make it public so that other ‘flippers’ will see it. There is even an extension in Chrome to make it easier to add posts to your magazine. It’s pretty cool.
If you’re in the business of working with clients, you should share your blog posts on LinkedIn.
And it’s pretty easy to do. Go to your feed to start a post. Select Write article on the bottom right.
An editor will open where you can copy/paste your blog post and images there. Add a disclosure about where the post was originally published, publish the article and it will show up in the LinkedIn feed.
Pocket has been around since 2007. It’s for people who want to save articles and blog posts they’re read in case they want to refer back to them.
What’s in it for you? Well, when you add the GetPocket app as one of the sharing options on your website, readers can save your post to their Pocket.
Hootsuite and Buffer have this option so readers can save your posts through those social sharing platforms.
Quora is a great platform to get your blog out there.
Basically, it works like this. You simply create an account and when someone posts a question, you provide an answer with resources, tips and yes, your blog posts.
But you can’t just reply with ‘read this post’. Your answers must be relevant and not salesy.
Ah Tailwind, I love you. Tailwind (affiliate link) not only saves you hours of work by publishing your pins on Pinterest but you can also share your blog posts when you join Tribes.
Look for tribes in your niche. There are some you can automatically join and there are some you have to request to join. You can join up to 5 tribes for free.
When you submit your post on Tailwind, there will be an ‘add to tribe’ button at the bottom. Click that and tick all the tribes you want to add your post to.
I’ve been using this tool for a while now and it’s really boosted my content’s visibility! If you haven’t tried Tailwind, you’re seriously missing out!
Triberr is another platform to promote your blog posts. When you create a free account, you can create a Tribe and ask other bloggers to join to share each other’s content. Or you can join other tribes by requesting to join.
Meanwhile, to get noticed by the tribe’s chief, share and comment on other blog posts from that Tribe. This will let the chief know you genuinely want to engage and not going to drop your link and go.
The last tool on my list of places to share your blog posts is on Viral Content Bee. Your content receives Facebook likes and Tweets by established social media accounts.
When you join this platform, you can submit your post for free by sharing other posts from the VCB feed and collecting points for sharing it to your social media profiles. Or you can buy a premium points package.
By using these sites to promote your blog post, you can increase traffic to your blog, improve your site’s ranking and reach more people.
I hope you found this post helpful. If I missed anything, please add it in the comments below.
