Looking for Something?
I know what it’s like to get started. As a blogger myself, I was in beginner’s shoes once. Starting as a new mom who hired a website designer, I quickly discovered that I wanted to make it easy, convenient, and simple for anyone to start their own boss babe empire or develop their passion.
How to Remove WordPress Page Titles from any Genesis Child Theme
I often get asked “How do I remove the WordPress page titles?” It’s actually really simple with the new Gutenburg updates from WordPress and Genesis. There is also a plugin you can try if you can’t find the Gutenburg option. The plugin is created by WordPress Developer, Bill Ericsson. Follow these simple steps below. I promise it won’t take long 🙂
Gutenburg Option
Let’s try the Gutenburg option first. This is the easiest way to remove titles. I’m crossing my fingers, hoping you have this option. Let’s see.
Step 1. From your WordPress dashboard click on PAGES.
Step 2. Click on the page that you would like to remove the title from (i.e. Contact page, About Me page, etc.).
Step 3. Click on the Genesis icon (top right of your screen) then check the box for HIDE TITLE.
Step 4. Click UPDATE then view your page. You may need to clear your browser’s cache files if you do not see the change right away.

Install Plugin Option
If the above steps do not work, let’s try a different option.
The first step is to install the Genesis Title Toggle plugin. This plugin will help you remove the page titles, not the post titles.
1. After you are logged into your WordPress Dashboard click on PLUGINS then ADD NEW.
2. In the search box, type in Genesis Title Toggle. Click INSTALL then click ACTIVATE.
How to Remove Titles from EVERY PAGE
Follow this tutorial if you would like to remove titles from all of your pages. If you want to remove page titles from a specific page please see the other steps below.

Step 2. Next, click on TITLE TOGGLE then check the box that says “Page”.
Step 3. Click PUBLISH then view your pages. If you don’t see the change right away… try clearing your browser’s cache files.
How to Remove a Title from a SPECIFIC PAGE
If you only want to remove 1 or 2 specific page titles and not from every page… follow this tutorial.
Step 1. Click on PAGES the click on the page that you would like to remove the title from.
Step 2. Scroll down and look for “Title Toggle”. Place a checkmark in the box next to “Hide Title”.
Step 3. Click UPDATE (or “Publish” if you haven’t published the page yet) then view the page live on your site.
How easy was that!?!? Awesome right? There is no coding involved.
Hi April,
First, I must say your website looks amazing remarkable, good job! Your article is great and you make removing title from any Genesis theme a lot easier than anyone can image. Although I haven’t used Genesis Themes, it fascinates me a lot. I will have to give it a try.
