Looking for Something?
I know what it’s like to get started. As a blogger myself, I was in beginner’s shoes once. Starting as a new mom who hired a website designer, I quickly discovered that I wanted to make it easy, convenient, and simple for anyone to start their own boss babe empire or develop their passion.
If you’ve been blogging for a while now you probably already know there are all kinds of ways to make money blogging or make money as a freelancer. But if you’re like some bloggers and freelance writers, you might not want to be tied down blogging as an affiliate marketer or writing a blog post to promote a brand.
Like those bloggers and freelance writers, you just want to write. After all, that’s what freelancing is all about, right?
Freelance -the freedom to write about what you know and what you love and get paid to do it. There’s no commitment and you call the shots.
Throughout the 7 years I’ve been blogging, I’ve collected tons of notes. I’ve been like Steve (the first Steve, lol) of Blue’s Clue’s – I kept notes of blogging tips and places I found that offered legit paid writing gigs in my handy dandy notebook.
At first I was looking at places like Upwork and other job search websites that required a monthly membership or the purchase of credits. But that was during a time when every penny counted so I had to be smart as to where my money went. And since I was new to writing, I invested in learning. But I digress…
As time passed, I came across these sites and found legit paid writing gigs shared by other bloggers and freelancers who were making money by writing.

Tips For New Writers: How To Improve Your Writing Skills
If writing is new to you, here are some very helpful tips to step up your writing skills – but first a quote from my favorite author.
“If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There’s no way around these two things that I’m aware of, no shortcut.” – Stephen King
A great quote from a great writer.
But you’ll also get that same advice from authority bloggers and freelance writers who have shared their personal tips to step up your writing skills. Mashable also shared some ways to improve your writing skills and went into detail explaining each bullet.
Here’s a quick breakdown of some of the tips they shared to up your writing game:
Understand the basic principles of writing
Take a writing workshop or class
Study the writing skills of writers you admire
Look at older content you’ve written to see how much you’ve improved your writing skills
Speak your mind
Do your research
Wrapping It Up
And there you have it. Those are the places to find legit paid writing gigs. I’m sure these websites did their homework before sharing the latest writing and blogging jobs but make sure you do your own research. Hi April,
These 17 site for freelance writing jobs are timely, because many freelance writers struggle to get or find freelance writing work. However, while I have been using some of these sites, many are new to me. I was recently featured in an article that was published on the Guest Crew blog, but I never knew it is a freelance writing platform for job seekers. But now I know.
