Looking for Something?
I know what it’s like to get started. As a blogger myself, I was in beginner’s shoes once. Starting as a new mom who hired a website designer, I quickly discovered that I wanted to make it easy, convenient, and simple for anyone to start their own boss babe empire or develop their passion.
How to Setup a Free Email Address using your Domain
Lets say your domain is www.test1.com and you would like to create an email that looks like this username@test1.com. You will notice in the email address that we used test1.com. This is great to do as it will associate your domain with your email address. This will make it more professional and it looks really awesome!
If you purchased hosting for your WordPress blog then this is already available to you for free through your hosting provider. I will go over the step by step instructions below. If you are using a Blogger.com blog and you don’t have a hosting account… no worries just contact the company that you purchased your domain from and they may have a solution for you. If you haven’t purchased a domain yet then I highly recommend using GoDaddy. I use GoDaddy for all my domains and they have an amazing customer service support.
Here is how to set up your email address using your domain through your hosting provider. For this example I will be using RFE Hosing:
Step 1. Log into your cPanel. You can access your cPanel by using this link http://yourdomain.com/cpanel (replace yourdomain with your actual domain name). If you forgot your username and password to log in then refer back to the ‘Welcome’ email you received from your hosting provider or you can contact their customer service support.
Step 2. Look for “Email Accounts” and click on it.
Step 3. Enter your information as shown below. Click on the image to see a larger photo.
Step 4. Click on “Create Account” – wa-la your email address was created using your domain. There are still a few more steps to take.
Now that your email address has been created you need to set it up on your Outlook, Mac Mail, Gmail, etc… Every hosting provider will have their own settings for this. The best solution is to log into your hosting account like http://RFEhosting.com and visit their ‘Help’ or ‘Tutorial’ page and search for “Setting up email account on Outlook” or “Setting up email account on Mac Mail”.
