Updating Your “About Me” Page

The “About Me” page on your website is one of the essential pages on your website.  It allows customers to connect with you on a more personal level. Putting a face with a name is crucial when forming customer relations.  It’s a good idea to edit your personal image with a more updated image.  Change up the content to add a fresh, new perspective.  Make sure your contact information is correct and that any links are working correctly.

Update Content with Relevant Keywords

Update your content with new, trending keywords.  Start by looking at your Google Analytics.  Update your old posts with fresh, unique content that is relevant.  Add keywords that may be currently trending.  Check for new link opportunities.  Also, check for any broken links.  Your links may be outdated, especially if they are affiliate links.

Update Your Email List

Updating your email list will keep your content in the inboxes of those who crave what you have to offer. Subscribers who are no longer interested and never open your email can be removed from the list.  Check to see if you have any bounce backs from email addresses and remove those as well.  Email subscription lists are not cheap, so why pay for subscribers who are no longer interested in your content.

Refresh Your Theme

If you have had the same theme for a few years, it may be time to purchase a new one.  If your theme is outdated, it will not have the critical updates to keep your theme up to date.  Evaluate your site to see if the current theme is still working for your business.  Does it convey your brand?  Is the format outdated?  A new theme can get you excited about your website again.  It will also show your followers and potential followers that you keep up with trends!

Our Make An Impact WordPress theme is perfect for the modern trendsetter and elegant professional. Designed with a classy black trim and classic beige accent offering endless color customizations. On a side note, also, remember to update your copyright year in your theme’s footer.  An old date will cause viewers to think our website is outdated and not current.

Change your Opt-In Freebie or Call-to-Action

If you have an old opt-in or call to action, reevaluate and create a new one.  Sometimes a simple change can make all the difference.  When people visit your website, they want quick and precise information.  Make sure your freebies spark interest and that your call to action is clear and understandable.
