How to Change the WordPress Copyright for Kadence Themes
When you install a theme for the first time, the copyright credit at the bottom of the theme also known as the site footer – includes the Copyright, the year, and a link to Studio Mommy.
Changing the copyright credit in WordPress is really easy.
The following tutorial is going to show you how to update the copyright credit in your WordPress site for a Kadence WordPress Theme. Studio Mommy’s themes are designed with the Kadence framework.
Follow These Steps
- From the WordPress dashboard (on the backend), go to APPEARANCE then click CUSTOMIZE.
- Next, click on FOOTER then COPYRIGHT.
- Under the text box for VISUAL is where you can change the info for the Copyright.
- After you make the change in the VISUAL box… be sure to check the preview on the right to see if it looks the way you want.
- If all looks good then click PUBLISH at the top right side of your screen.
Check It Out
After you have published the changes, it’s time to see it live. Go to your homepage and refresh the screen. You should see the updated copyright credit.
TROUBLESHOOT: If you don’t see the change right away, you might have to clear your site’s cache files as well as your browser’s cookie cache files to see the changes or wait about an hour.
And don’t worry about the year. That will automatically update every year.
